Plate 422:  Constructing a single-span bridge over the canal, Part 27: view toward the northeast from the deck of the single-span bridge
(This plate added MAY 2004)

This view is similar to the view in Plate421, except that the camera has been placed upon the deck of the bridge, instead of underneath the bridge.

The ladder track and spurs of the marshalling yard are on the right, and the spurs of the passenger terminal are on the left.

The wireless television monitor (see Plate420) can be seen above the roofs of the coaches in the marshalling yard.
